The little three-year-old, who won the Tamworth Star Maker Final the previous start as part of the Carnival of Cups meeting at Tamworth, added to her picket fence with the win in the Joan Bullock Memorial.
Itz Georgiaonmymind – a Hunter Valley pacer – has had three career race starts for three wins all at Tamworth.
“I am hoping to take her into a heat of the NSW Oaks next start,” trainer and reinsman Mark Callaghan said.
Itz Georgiaonmymind was impressive in winning on Friday. She beat nearest rival Ruth Shannon by 40 metres who is trained by Peter Bullock, sponsor of the race in honour of his late wife.
“She needed a bit of a hit out to tighten her up today,” Callaghan added.
“She did it pretty easy which was nice and hopefully she can be competitive down there (Menangle).”
Along with the 40-metre win, Itz Georgiaonmymind set both a new track record (3yo) and a class record (3yo filly) with a mile rate of 1.59.0 to take the title from Takara Truffle who raced 1.59.30 back in October, 2016.
“Obviously you don’t go out there to break track records but when it happens its nice,” Callaghans said.
“We know how good Takara Truffle is so if this filly lives up to half of what she was I will be very happy – it’s all exciting.”
With three wins on the trot, it was planned that Itz Georgiaonmymind would head to Sydney to race.
However, Callaghan may have to change his plans of a trip to Sydney with Itz Georgiaonmymind pulling up sore after the impressive win.
