This is the first time NIAS has hosted a program like this for football.
NIAS said the move "fills a hole” in the pathway between juniors and seniors.
It also “helps in the identification of talented players and developing their abilities”, NIAS said.
Meanwhile, two as-yet-unnamed Sydney Swans players will lead a training session for the NIAS AFL program on Monday in Inverell.
There will be a dinner in Inverell on Monday night that will be attended by the players.
The players will travel in Armidale on Tuesday.
In related news, Growth Day is the educational part of NIAS’ athletics program.
It’s a day for all athletes to learn about life off the field.
The day will be headlined by Michael Crossland, who will talk to athletes about resilience and his experiences.
Batyr will have a spokesperson present to talk about goal-setting and youth leadership.
Professionals will then discuss nutrition, psychology and physiotherapy.
Growth Day will be held at the Armidale City Bowling Club on Sunday week.
