There was no sleep-in for the County Music Queens contestants on Australia Day, four of the girls woke early to deliver The Northern Daily Leader to camping areas around Tamworth to the dedicated Country Music Fans.

The fans, normally an exciting and colourful bunch, donned their best Aussie gear to get in the Australia Day spirit with contestants Julia Fleck, Ashley Ginn, Alexandra Kellahan, Tamara Ferguson, Cheyanne Conlon and Eliza Simpson.

The Queens have been delivering papers around the camp grounds as a part of their duties throughout the Queen Quest.

They have also been collecting donations throughout the festival.
