That is the thoughts of local cafe owner Karryn Davis after Teamo was vandalised twice in the opening two nights.
On Friday night four bales of hay went missing from out the front while the door was urinated on, although the worst was yet to come.
“Our chef is eight months pregnant and opens in the morning so we put some faith in humanity and left the hay bails out for seating so she didn’t have to drag them out,” Ms Davis said.
At 1am the following morning someone allegedly jumped the back fence into the courtyard, destroying almost everything inside.
“They didn’t take things they just broke things. Tables, glasses, book cases, teapots, - everything - and there was pools of blood as well,” Ms Davis said.
A man was arrested by police at the scene.
Unfortunately, the cafe was closed all day Sunday for repairs.
”We lost a whole days trade. But what I don’t understand is that it is a festival, people are meant to be happy but instead of having a good time they are doing this.”
It was a torrid weekend at work and at home for Ms Davis and her partner Paul Fisher.
The pair had dealings with the police twice in 12 hours after a car rammed a brick wall at their West Tamworth home on Saturday night, just hours before the cafe was trashed.
Once again police made an arrest, after the car allegedly drove off, only to leave the bumper bar with number plate attached at the scene.
“We normally throw ourselves into the festival and love it. It brings so much and is so good for the town,” Ms Davis said.
“Hopefully it gets better from here.”
“One thing we can say is that the police have been fantastic, arresting and charging people on both occasions.”
