A TEENAGER was in police custody on Friday night after officers raided a home as part of an investigation into a break-in at an East Tamworth home.

Police have been investigating the break-and-enter that occurred earlier this week at a Chelmsford Street property where electronic goods were reported stolen.
Oxley Chief Inspector Phil O’Reilly told The Leader following investigations, police obtained a search warrant on Friday.
“Oxley detectives executed a search warrant at a Quinn Street residence on Friday afternoon following investigations into a break-and-enter in Chelmsford Street in East Tamworth on the 16th of January,” he said.
Police recovered an ipad from the premises which is suspected to have been stolen from Chelmsford Street.

“Police recovered an ipad from the premises which is suspected to have been stolen from Chelmsford Street.
“Other items were seized during the search warrant.
“An 18-year-old man from West Tamworth was arrested by detectives and is assisting police with their inquiries.”
The teen was still being questioned in custody on Friday night.
