On Wednesday evening, the 13 entrants from all walks of life were given an induction as part of the lead up to the festival, which officially kicks off on Friday.

The girls were relaxed as they mingled with judges at a briefing at the Tamworth Regional Council chambers.
The group participated in a series of training events in preparation for their roles as city ambassadors during the 10 day festival, including a session on how to deal with the media, which was held at The Northern Daily Leader office. The Leader is a major sponsor of the quest.
Crowds attending the Tamworth Country Music Festival will have the chance to witness the sashing of entrants in the Queen Quest.
The entrants will be sashed at an official event on Friday, to be held at Fanzone in Peel St at 11am.
