A tip-off led police to Sharee Lorraine Turnbull on Monday afternoon after she was sighted in Hobbs Lane.
The 28-year-old was arrested by police about 3.45pm, accused of stabbing a 45-year-old woman at a property in Brewery Lane, early on January 10.
According to police, Turnbull was at the Brewery Lane property and confronted the woman in the shed and stabbed her several times to the right side of her body, about 7am.
Police claim the 45-year-old fled and alerted a friend who drove to the scene.
Turnbull then allegedly confronted the woman in the driveway, demanding her phone before punching her.
Police said the woman dropped the phone and Turnbull allegedly fled.
The woman was taken to Tamworth hospital and underwent surgery for the wounds, which also punctured her lung, and a laceration to her arm which required stitching.
Turnbull appeared in Tamworth Local Court on Tuesday afternoon, charged with aggravated assault with intent to rob causing wounding and wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
The court heard Turnbull is on parole which triggered a show cause bail hearing. The court found she did not show cause for her release, and was consequently denied bail by magistrate Mark Richardson.
Turnbull was not required to enter a plea to the two charges and will remain in custody until the case heads back to court later this month.
