As Bective East skipper Adam Jones went about formulating his side this week, he realised something unprecedented had occurred – he had at his disposal a near full-strength side.

Had opening bowler Paddy Montgomery not been out injured for the season, it would have been a full-strength side for the one-day clash against North Tamworth at Riverside 2 on Saturday.
Jones said it was “pleasing” to be in that position and he wished he knew how it happened.
Last-placed Bective appear to be an improving side, with much of that attributable to 18-year-old paceman Lachlan Davidson returning to action after finishing his HSC.
He claimed five wickets in Bective’s loss to City United last round.
Jones would love to have Davidson and Montgomery opening the attack but is thankful to have the former back.
“Lachie has been a sensation since he’s been back with us,” Jones said. “We missed him early on.”
