Applications for the overhauled 2018 Young Business Mentoring Program are closing on January 25, and TBC President Jye Segboer believes that there is plenty to gain from the program on both sides of the equation.
The program will be delivered over six monthly workshops, although this year rather than individual mentees being paired with individual mentors, the mentees will have access to a range of mentors every month.
“This is an exciting change for the program, but also for the individual mentees,” Mr Segboer said.
“Being able to personally access a range of Tamworth’s best business minds at the same time, will provide greater insight into business topics while expanding their professional network.”
Those workshops will be delivered by ATAC, and CEO Samantha Crebert is living proof of the benefits that mentoring programs like this can produce.
“As a young person myself, having undertaken several mentoring programs, the value of being involved with the Young Business Mentoring Program should not be underestimated,” she said.
“The skills that you learn through the interaction with others and following a structured training approach, allows you to gain the knowledge to finally put the puzzle pieces of business together and start to take a more holistic approach.”
