The home side’s second double bonus point win, it puts them on top of the Kookaburra Cup table heading into Wednesday’s Twenty20 double header.
After winning the toss and sending Illawarra in, the Central North bowlers dispensed the same medicine they did to North Coastal on the opening day to dismiss Illawarra for just 116.
Armidale’s Ryan Simpson, Tamworth’s Matt Holmes and Inverell’s Jake House led the charge with two wickets apiece, while Tamworth’s Kilan Apen and Landan Price chimed in with one.
Hamilton then smacked five sixes and nine fours in his 53 ball knock as Central North chased down the runs in just 15.2 overs.
Newcastle and Western also made it two from two with nine run and seven wicket wins respectively. Central Coast snuck home for a two wicket win in the other game.
