Vans are a key part of the festival experience. Lebanese, pizza, hamburgers, pulled pork … it’s all there to be had. You’ll find most of the vans parked near the main park in central Tamworth where the free nightly concerts take place. So pick up a snack, pull up a rug and chow down to some great music.

For those wanting to put their feet up in a more formal environment there’s plenty of great food to be had, whether it’s the numerous, bakeries, cafes or restaurants in Tamworth or more further afield on the New England Highway at Goonoo Goonoo Station or Willow Tree.

Even further afield, you’ll find cafes and a brewery (not to mention art galleries) at funky Uralla (about one hour from Tamworth) and then Armidale, a real foodie haunt with delis, wood-fire bakeries and boutique producers.

Keep an eye on the listings for farmers markets, where you can pick up some goodies to take back to your home-away-from-home.

And, of course, there’s all the big supermarket chains you’d expect, so keeping yourself fed and watered will be easy.

If you’re looking for something at 2am, when you’ve come out of a gig,  try the McDonalds on Bridge street, heading out of town towards Gunnedah and on the Sydney Road. If it’s even later than that you’ll find the first cafe’s opening from 6am.
