All week the Challenge crew have been beating Santa to the punch, wrapping and packing gifts before delivering them to 55 kids that are currently in out-of-home care.
Casework Manager Amanda Pearson said Challenge like to make sure that every child receives a gift for Christmas, and some of the reactions have been amazing.
“It’s important because it places value on who they are as a person, ensures they are accepted in the community, and gives them something to have fun with on Christmas day,” Ms Pearson said.
While some gifts have been donated, others have been financed by the service themselves, as they ensure no child in their care misses out.
“Kids have been jumping up and down they are so excited. We have had paper getting ripped everywhere, we have had drones in trees – it has been absolutely fantastic,” Ms Pearson said.
