The bursaries were announced after Year 6 students from Nundle, Woolomin and Dungowan Schools sat an exam and submitted their school reports last month.
Each student will receive $600 annually towards their education expenses for the duration of their secondary and tertiary schooling, potentially 10 years.
Donor appeal co-ordinator, Derek Hill, said the Bursary was established in the 1960’s by returned servicemen living on soldier settler blocks near Nundle.
“Some of the returned servicemen’s children were doing it tough and a bursary was established, funded by each soldier settler donating the proceeds of a tagged calf,” Mr Hill said.
The Nundle CWA has taken over the administration of the fund. Students are required to provide their school report each year for a review of their performance.
