Eighty stalls lined either side of the street, as plenty of patrons were out and about bagging bargains at the last of the markets before Christmas next Monday.
Among them was resident stallholder Nev “Poppy” White, whose homemade condiments of jams, sauces, marmalade and ginger beer proved popular for the festive season.
“We have holes everywhere,” Mr White said, as he worked to quickly re-stock his selection.
“We keep having to top up. It’s been very good.”
Next door, Tamworth’s Bert and Judy Pullen couldn’t keep up with demand for their Christmas cakes.
Rotary representatives said it was a huge turnout for the last 2017 market, with 80 stalls registered for the day.
There will be no Peel Street Markets in January 2018 due to the Tamworth Country Music Festival.
