And there was no better place to catch some of that spirit than Bicentennial Park on Saturday night.
Carols in the Park saw thousands of Tamworthians gather to celebrate the festive season with some joyous singing.
Hosted by the combined Christian churches of Tamworth, the night kicked off with performances from the Pipe Band and the Brass Band, before the carols, led by a locally-formed choir backed by the Tamworth Conservatorium Concert Band, followed from 7.30pm.
There was a mixture of choir, solo and duo acts, interspersed with Bible readings throughout the night.
The combined Lions Clubs of Tamworth and the Salvation Army manned the barbecue, while donations were collected for Angel Flight.
The night ended early due to weather conditions.
