POLICE have seized what they claim is several cannabis plants as well as drugs and other goods in raid on a property in Gunnedah.

Acting on a tip-off from the public, Gunnedah police together with officers from Manilla and Somerton executed the search warrant at a house in Herbert Street.
Gunnedah Sergeant Mark Benson told Fairfax Media police raided the house at 9am on Friday.
“Police attended the Herbert Street premises in relation to the cultivation of prohibited plants,” he said.
Drug paraphernalia, dry cannabis and eight plants were seized by police.

“Drug paraphernalia, dry cannabis and eight plants were seized by police.”
Police said the plants ranged in size and some were mature.
No one was arrested at the property but police have confirmed charges will be laid in relation to the seizure.
“All of those items were seized,” Sergeant Benson said.
“Investigations into the seizure are continuing and charges are pending.
“Police would encourage anyone with information on prohibited drugs to contact Gunnedah police or Crime Stoppers.”
