And Tamworth audiences will be the first in the world to see their show, The Unbelievables, when it premieres at TRECC on Friday.
The cast, crew and costumers are from about 15 different countries and, for the past 10 days, have been putting the show together right here in the city.
After Tamworth, they will take the show to the Sydney Opera House, the Arts Centre Melbourne and then a global tour.
The show is from the producers of The Illusionists: the Los Angeles-based The Works Entertainment.
Creative and executive producer Simon Painter said the company had spent about a year just on casting.
“What we do is specialise in finding the most amazing talent – I suppose you could say it’s a bit like America’s Got Talent on steroids,” he said.
“It’s a smorgasbord of unbelievable talent.
“The governing criteria for an act to be in the show is they must be unbelievable; they must be the best of the best.
“So, from the greatest aerial act in the world – the best I’ve ever seen in my life – to one of the most outrageously amazing voices, one of the funniest stand-up comedians, the most incredible sleight-of-hand magician, the only Tony Award-winning ventriloquist, world champion ballroom dancers and everything in between…
“Each one of them is unique – if you look at the skills they do, they are pretty much the only one in the world who does that to that degree of talent.
“That’s what we’ve looked for.”
Mr Painter said the performers who closed act one were “incredibly inspiring”.
“I won’t spoil it for you, but they are the only people in the world who do what they do … it’s an absolute one of a kind.”
