The senior leadership team spent the morning “handing out coffee cups with a Christmas message and either a hot chocolate sachet, tea or coffee bag, sugar and a few sweets, to random strangers at both Shoppingworld and Peel Street.
It is the first year that the students have embarked on the program, the brain-child of principal Rod Jones, who plans on making it an annual tradition.
Student Mikala Ellis said it was good “to brighten up people’s days, and make them smile.”
“We have gave them to people who were sitting by themselves or looked like they needed cheering up – gave them a boost for the day,” Ms Ellis said.
