The match will raise funds for the Narrabri Shire Youth Shack.

The VIPs for the match will be former Test cricketers and current Australian Players Association representatives, John Dyson and Dave Gilbert.

The duo will be there to promote the game, including local cricket programs for the second part of the season starting in February. 

While at local schools and working with Narrabri junior cricket players, the former internationals will share their thoughts in the men’s and women’s Ashes series as well as the upcoming Big Bash.

Dyson and Gilbert will promote three new programs.

In Moree, two new Milo T20 Blast programs will start in term one next year.

One is a six-week program for girls that will be staged on Wednesday afternoons at Harborne Oval. It is supported by St Philomena School.

The other is a program for Aboriginal students at Moree East Public School.

That  program will be staged for eight weeks on Thursday afternoons from February 15.

In Narrabri, the junior association is seeking new registrations for its entry-level Milo in 2CRICKET program.

The program is for newcomers to the game who are aged between five and eight.

For youngsters who cannot play on weekends, there will be a six-week mid-week Milo T20 Blast program at Collins Park that will be hosted by Cricket NSW.

It starts on February 14 and is for cricket novices aged seven to 12.

Schools are encouraged to enter teams (eight players per team). Individuals are also welcome to register.
