As shops and streets fill with Christmas cheer and trees pile up with presents, students are being taught the real meaning behind the festive holiday.
Calrossy Preschool kicked off the festive season with its annual concert reciting the Christmas story in Tamworth on Tuesday.
The play saw 25 kids, aged between three and four, dress in costume as they told the history of Christmas.
“They did the Christmas story and then sung a couple of songs,” Calrossy Preschool director Belinda Lockwood said.
“They did really well.”
The preschool will host another Christmas concert for students aged four and five on Friday.
