Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service has received a $1,000 donation as winners of the ‘Love Local’ promotion held at Tamworth Square during the month of October.
As part of the campaign Tamworth Square retailers nominated three community groups important to them.
Retailers selected Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service, Meals on Wheels and Tamworth Hospital Auxiliary to benefit from the promotion.
“The only thing better than a good cause is a good cause that directly benefits the communities in which we operate,” Senior Marketing Manager at Tamworth Square, Elio Iacutone said.
“Love Local allowed us to reach out to community groups that are important to our retailers, and offer them an opportunity to raise some funds simply by shopping at Tamworth Square.
Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service spokesperson, Lisa Thomas, said the money would be used to purchase supplies, along with supporting other initiatives for the helicopter operations.
“We are humbled by the win and would like to thank all the shoppers that voted for our cause at Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service,” Ms Thomas said.
