Frontmen Roger Corbett and Dobe Newton often joke about how many times they’ve been nominated for Golden Guitar awards - but have only walked away with three so far, as they celebrate 46 years of making Australian music.
"Since 1981 we've been lucky enough to be nominated as finalists over 40 times,” Dobe said. “It's as exciting now as it was that first time, and we're honoured to receive the endorsement of our peers and industry colleagues.
“Without the unbelievable loyalty of fans young and old we wouldn't still be around to enjoy the thrill. Thank you all." The group will find out their fate at the awards on January 27.
