Chriss Crowell has been playing for NSW in division one.
The firsts side started its campaign with a four-wicket win over South Australia before a thrilling match against Victoria on day two.
After NSW posted 9-166 – Crowell scored 10 for NSW – Victoria looked well in control with two of their top four batsmen scoring half centuries.
However, the duo both retired and with a couple wickets, NSW rumbled back into the game.
It ended up going right down to the last over with Victoria scoring the winning runs with two balls to spare.
The majority of Tamworth’s representatives are playing in division three for the NSW Boomers – who Terry Murphy is playing for – and the NSW Kookaburras which is the team Ron Radford, Peter Boyd and Steve Beaton are playing for.
Murphy (18*) top-scored for the Boomers in their first match – a three-wicket loss to Queensland – and bagged 1-14 before the side knocked over South Australia just four wickets down and with 14 overs to spare.
The Kookaburras also lost their first match against New Zealand where Radford (33 retired hurt), Boyd (10 and 1-14) and Beaton (1-14) all chipped in.
The Kookaburras then went after Western Australia on day two. It took the side just 16 overs – and only lost two wickets on the way – to chase down Western Australia’s 8-115.
