The museum, which recently celebrated the City of Light anniversary, had its smile brightened after claiming an IMAGinE award for its education resource ‘Sparking Curiosity and Wonder’.
The program, launched this year, gives hands-on, and online, science lessons tapped into the museums artefacts and resources.
Long-time volunteer Ken Russell was pleased to see the museum honoured.
“I worked in the industry, after I retired, I just loved researching and finding things out and trying to tell stories to people who wouldn’t appreciate the very important role Tamworth played in electricity development in Australia,” he said.
