While Tamworth’s next Relay for Life event isn’t until March 24 next year, the organising committee will launch the event at the Tamworth Peel Street monthly markets this Sunday.
To kick off the 2018 Relay for Life campaign there will be a 24 hour flash sale giving relay teams 50 per cent off their registration fees, meaning registration will be only cost $10 per person.
There will be a barbecue all day, live music and Cancer Council’s life size mascot ‘Dougal Bear’ will be out and about for photos with the kids.
There will also be a community and team information night held on Tuesday, December 5, at Wests Leagues Club from 6pm to provide information for anyone new to Relay, for anyone thinking about getting involved and for teams already registered on how to maximise fundraising in the lead up to the event and on the day. People can register online at www.relayforlife.org.au/Tamworth using the discount code ‘Tamworth’.
