PCYC NSW has been announced as a provider under the government’s Active Kids Rebate program
From the end of January next year, eligible recipients will be able to receive a $100 voucher that can be redeemed towards the payment of sport and recreation membership or participation fees.
The program aims to increase participation of children in sport and active recreation to help reduce the prevalence of childhood overweight and obesity.
PCYC NSW has more than 60 clubs statewide, with in excess of 100,000 members and is expected to be one of the bigger providers.
Families will be able to apply for a voucher in 2018 through an online portal within the Service NSW website.
Further information on the rebate scheme is available from any PCYC club, at www.pcycnsw.org.au/active-kids or by emailing activekids@pcycnsw.org.au.
