While Chris Crowell will play for NSW in division one at the national titles, Steve Beaton, Terry Murphy, Ron Radford and Pete Boyd will play in division three.
However, they won’t all play together with NSW fielding two teams in division three.
Beaton, Radford and Boyd will play for the NSW Kookaburras while Murphy will line up for the NSW Boomers.
Beaton and Murphy have previously played in finals for NSW together and aim to do so again this year.
“We hope to play off in the final,” Murphy said.
“We’ve played in the same team in past years and got a pretty good record,” Beaton added.
“I think the division three side won about three years in a row and then we were beat in the final last year.
“With two teams this year I hope we can meet these fellas in the finals and then the Tamworth rivalry will come out.”
The cricket championships start this Sunday following a meet and greet on the Saturday. The sides will play again on Monday before a rest day on Tuesday.
The final round game will be on Wednesday before the playoffs on Thursday to wrap up the championships.
Players from Quirindi and Armidale will also compete at the national titles.
We hope to play off in the final.
