For the past 40 years Coca-Cola Country has given aspiring musicians the chance to perform on the same stage as some of Australian country music’s biggest names at the festival.

This year Coca-Cola Country will be join forces with the Capital Country Music Association’s National Talent Quest (CCMA) to present an eight-day schedule of opportunities for artists of all ages and all stages to perform and compete in the Tamworth Town Hall with their very own professional backing band.

“This is an exciting opportunity to really encourage and support emerging Aussie talent as we celebrate our 40-year partnership with Toyota Country Music Festival.” Local Coca-Cola Amatil district sales manager John Eggins said, 

The CCMA has been providing the opportunity for emerging Australian artists to compete in categories from juniors through to “golden oldies” since 1966.

President of the CCMA Steve Newton said it was natural to join forces with Coca Cola country.

“It is exciting to be able to combine two giant talent quests into a one-stop-shop for all aspiring country musicians whether competing or those who just want to walk up and sing,” he said.

Festival manager Barry Harley said the partnership meant non-stop entertainment at the venue.

“Combining these two elements of the Festival means we can reinvigorate the Town Hall schedule.

 “Providing more opportunities for artists and bands to perform and more opportunities for fans to discover musical talent,” he said.

Events held as part of the partnership include: Battle of the Young Stars, 18 and under, Battle of the New Stars,18 and over, Battle of the Bluegrass, Battle of the Bands and the walk up and sing opportunities daily.
