More than 200 works of art are expected to be on show and up for sale at the Nundle Memorial Hall on Jenkins St, on both Saturday and Sunday.
The event will be officially opened on Friday night, when the winners of the different categories will also be announced.
The idea for the show was born in 1969. These days it contributes to the upkeep of the Nundle CWA building that houses allied health professionals and day care groups.
CWA president Margaret Schofield said there was a great collection of artworks at this year’s event.
The calibre of artwork could ultimately lead to a hard task for judge Leslye Cole of Ogunbil to decide the winner.
“We have a few different and interesting things this year with quick-set plaster works,” Mrs Schofield said.
“We’ve got our section of pre-loved art, which is proving to be very popular, there’s also beautiful water colours, drawings and pastels.
“Our feature section this year is ‘Everything Equine’.
“There’s a lot of lovely ones in there.”
The event will be open between 10am and 5pm on Saturday and 10am and 4pm on Sunday.
Entry to the Nundle CWA art show is $5.
Members of the public will also have the opportunity to purchase works on the day from all sections apart from the children’s division.
