Letters to the Editor: Road troubles

It's high time that something is done about the vehicles that are stopping to turn down into the Learn To Swim Centre on the Armidale Road.

Wednesday saw an accident involving a B-double Semi and two cars on this section of the highway.

It's more than obvious by the skid marks on this section of the highway that this isn't just a one off incident.

Not that long ago a truck has had to ram on his brakes and go bush to avoid a collision.

The safe thing to do would be to install a turning lane there and make it a safer bit of highway.

What's it going to take to get something done there? The death of a motorist because a truck has just ploughed through them due to the fact that he couldn't stop quick enough after coming off the slight bend in the highway?
