Graeme Rapp and Eris Gillis, with the support of Colin Gillis, are riding from Narrabri to Sydney this week with the aim of raising $40,000 for people in need across the world.
The team left Narrabri on Monday and will ride 500km, raising funds for the Barnabas Fund and Open Doors – two organisations that focus on humanitarian initiatives.
Mr Rapp said the ride was about raising awareness as well as raising money.
“We have plenty of everything in Australia,” he said.
“I think we take for granted almost, how good we have it in this country.
“What is great about these two organisations is that they promote long term solutions and not just band-aid fixes.”
