NSW TrainLink has temporarily suspended train services between Moree and Werris Creek while it works with the Australian Rail Track Corporation (ARTC) to resolve an issue with the train monitoring system in the area.

NSW TrainLink Chief Operating Officer Pete Allaway said customers on services between Moree and Werris Creek will travel by road coach while enquiries continue.
“The safety of our customers and staff is our highest priority and we are working closely with ARTC to identify the cause and then rectify it to allow normal services to resume,” Mr Allaway said.
“At this time we do not know when train services will start again, but we will continue to work over the weekend to find a solution.
“NSW TrainLink apologises to our customers who will be affected by this change and our staff are working to contact them before they travel.
“Wherever possible, customers travelling on the replacement coach services will connect to train services to and from Sydney at Werris Creek, or alternatively travel by coach for the entire journey,” Mr Allaway said.

Train services between Werris Creek and Armidale or between Werris Creek and Sydney are not affected.
