The meeting will feature two heats of the JC Caffyn Indigenous Drivers Series, which has attracted a number of indigenous reinsmen from within the industry, including the legend himself Jimmy Brown.
Manilla reinswoman Courtney Sutherland has taken up the invitation to be part of the Indigenous Drivers series, representing the Tamworth Club, and will be pitted against nine men in the two heats, including Menangle’s Jack Wade, who drove a winner at Parkes last Sunday.
Two $10,000 heats of the AGL Energy Club Menangle Where Horses Fly Pace will also be a highlight of the night, with the winners heading to Menangle for the final.
All in all, it looks like it will be an exciting night.
Race one gets underway at 6.26pm and the last event of the night gets going at 11.05pm.
The two heats of the JC Caffyn Indigenous Drivers Series are run at 8.25pm and 9.25pm.

A working holiday is gaining momentum for Tapitallee trainer Gavin Kelly.
And where is Tapitallee? Down the South Coast near Nowra.
Kelly, who only gained his harness licence in April, commenced his run with Blackbird Power finishing second in the Indigenous heats at Wagga. The horse was driven by James Sutton. He then headed to Parkes to once again finish second when driven by MacKayler Barnes.
In race two on Friday night at Tamworth, Blackbird Power will be making a pitch for a start at Menangle for a $20,000 final on October 29.
Blackbird Power will have Jimmy Brown in the spider in the first $10,000 AGL Energy Club Menangle Where Horses Fly Heat. “It would be lovely to get to Menangle,” Kelly said. “Hopefully Friday night is a good night.”
When Kelly returns to Tapitalle he will get straight back to work as he owns The Great Southern Hotel at Berry. “We were following the Indigenous series but decided to have a go at the Menangle heat here at Tamworth,” Kelly said.
