TAMWORTH residents are being urged to prepare for a zombie invasion on Friday night, as an apocalypse of sorts hits the city.

The annual Zombie Walk will be held on Friday, October 27, where a group of fanatics will get together in zombie costumes and walk the CBD streets.
The event is free, but with an ironic yet charitable twist, participants in the walk are encouraged to donate to the Brain Foundation on the night.
The group will meet at Bicentennial Park from 7pm before beginning the spooky walk.
The walk will end at Tamworth Forum 6 cinemas where participants can purchase tickets to the Rocky Horror Picture Show film.
Kel McQueen from Zombie Slayer SFX can assist with the zombie transformation make-up on the day.
