Police were patrolling North Tamworth and stopped the silver Mitsubishi Triton for a random breath test on Jewry St, near the intersection of Brewery Lane.

The 22-year-old driver failed a roadside test and was arrested and taken to Tamworth Police Station where she allegedly recorded a blood alcohol reading of 0.120.

She had her licence suspended and was charged with mid-range PCA.

The woman will front court at a later date.
