Saturday, October 14 marks McHappy Day with McDonald’s restaurants across the region joining forces to raise money for sick kids.
As the largest annual fundraiser for Ronald McDonald House, including Tamworth, every cent raised on McHappy Day supports programs and services including the houses across the state.
Local Ronald McDonald House and McDonald’s staff have urged community members to join in on the fundraiser.
For the hungry ones, $2 from every Big Mac sold on the day will go to the cause.
There are also Ronald McDonald Socks for $3 or a helping hand can be purchased for $2.
Bucket brigades from local organisations and community groups will be pounding the pavement to collect gold coin donations.
This year’s event is a special one, with illustrations on the Big Mac boxes containing drawings from the children the service has benefited.
