But overnight, the Tamworth-based Westpac Rescue Helicopter has flown the man to John Hunter Hospital in Newcastle for surgery.

The Westpac Rescue Helicopter was tasked to retrieve a 38-year-old man from Moree hospital overnight after he’d been hit by a cow while loading a cattle truck at Warialda late yesterday.
The man, who suffered a serious chest injury, was flown to Tamworth hospital for further treatment.
