In two days the Tamworth-based chopper has been tasked to Gingers Creek, Yarrowitch, Glencoe, Tamworth and Coolah.
Police are investigating a crash which seriously injured a motorcyclist near Gingers Creek, en-route to Port Macquarie.
The accident happened on the Oxley Highway, east of Gingers Creek, shortly after 3pm on Sunday.
The Westpac Rescue Helicopter was tasked to the scene, this side of Gingers Creek to collect the patient.
It was a busy weekend for the region’s rescue chopper after several missions on Saturday and Sunday.
On Saturday, the Westpac Rescue Helicopter airlifted a 17-year-old male with chest and pelvic injuries to John Hunter Hospital as a result of the accident on the Oxley Highway at Yarrowitch.
In the early hours of Saturday, the chopper airlifted a 68-year-old woman to John Hunter Hospital with a medical condition before it was tasked to Glencoe after three people were injured in a rollover.
About 9am on Sunday, the Tamworth-based helicopter was tasked to a property 20km out of Coolah where a 24-year-old male was being treated for a gunshot wound to the buttock.
Police said six friends were in remote bushland off Black Stump Way and were hunting when the 24-year-old man was accidentally shot in the buttock.
The man was airlifted to John Hunter Hospital in Newcastle in a stable condition and police have questioned a 44-year-old man over the incident.
His firearm’s licence has been suspended as police investigate. No charges have been laid.
And, paramedics and police are also investigating reports a man was shot in the foot near Narrabri on Sunday afternoon.
Emergency services responded to the man who manged to drive to meet paramedics on the Killarney Gap Rd about 4pm.
It’s believed the man was taken by road ambulance to Tamworth hospital for treatment.
