The Australian Rural Leadership Program Course 25 will involve more than 30 people from different backgrounds, industries and communities.
They will take part in a challenging 15-month program over five sessions, across Australia and Indonesia.
Australian Rural Leadership Foundation chief executive Matt Linnegar said the “life-changing program” offered scholarships of $55,000 to leaders from different industries.
The program is open to leaders from rural, regional and remote Australia.
“Scholarships are available for individuals involved in primary industries, agribusiness, the arts, policy and advocacy, health, economic development and the environment,” Mr Linnegar said.
The program aims to help participants develop their understanding of: self and others; ethics, values and social responsibility; and engaging with their industry, community and region.
They will develop their ability to think critically and gain a supportive network of people across different sectors and regions.
“Our goal is to develop people who can lead in their community or industry, and work for the ‘greater good’ of Australia,” Mr Linnegar said.
“We have been developing leaders for 25 years and the impact our leaders have made is immense.”
