Along with improving their basketball, it is hoped the trip will also provide the youngsters with a cultural boost.
The squads left on Sunday and will return the following Sunday after playing three matches.
NIAS sent its netballers to New Zealand last year.
“It’s a real cultural experience for them,” NIAS CEO James Cooper said.
“While they get to play games … they get to see New Zealand.
“It’s a good all-round week for them.”
The sides will play games gainst Cashmire High School, the Mainland Eagles Academy team and Middletown Grange.
Boys: Zac Campbell, Ryan Bath, Connor Watt, Rowan Myers, Will Myers, Tom Sheppard, Ben Pearce, Lachlan Salvador, Cameron Holton, Nathan Clark, Billy Parsons, Brock McMahon.
Girls: Hayley Beck, Anika Earsman, Ruby Murphy, Bianca Watson, Georgia Griffiths, Grace Salter, Josie Chick, Liv Whittemore, Shanti Kennedy, Sammy McCubbin, Grace Whale, Ruby Richardson, Jess Watt.
