The six boys – who all attend St Edwards Primary School and train under Wally Warner – brought home 10 medals in total as they showed off their speed.
Coach Warner said the group were deserving of their medals.
“I’m very, very proud,” Warner said.
“It was a tremendous effort and they’ve been raining really hard – all my runners do.”
The St Edwards 11-13 years boys 4x100m relay, made up of Ben Chick, Brayden Boonstra, Robbie Lay and Nicholas Driscoll, beat all their rivals by almost a second to take out the gold.
The relay win capped off a top carnival for Ben who also picked up two more medals. Ben came first in the 12 years boys 100m and second in the 12-13 years boys 200m.
It was a tremendous effort and they’ve been raining really hard – all my runners do.
