TAMWORTH’S TAFE students and teachers took time out to learn a valuable lesson about mental health.
Despite the cold, windy weather, the organisation came together to ask one question.
“One of our biggest goals today is to create connectivity and bring everyone together, students and staff and spread that message about asking those around you, your mates, your family, are you okay,” TAFE New England student retention officer Cassandra Newsome said.
“I think we’ve come a long way and our big focus is to not only ask, but also to speak up and ask for help and know that people are going to be there for you.
TAFE provides counsellors for their students through their courses and provide staff and teachers with mental health awareness training.
