The Rural Fire Service, Fire and Rescue NSW, State Emergency Service, NSW Police Force and NSW Ambulance will host an emergency services open day at Bicentennial Park and the whole community is invited.
The event is aimed at promoting the work our local heroes do and providing the community with vital information.
Between 10am and 3pm, Saturday, community members are invited to head to Bicentennial Park where an array of emergency services personnel will be on scene with their vehicles and equipment on display.
There’ll be plenty of action with fire fighting demonstrations, public information and even a jumping castle for the kids.
Tamworth Zone Rural Fire Service Superintendent Allyn Purkiss urged residents to come along and enjoy the day.
“It’s a get together with all the agencies,” Superintendent Purkiss said.
“We normally do an open day but we have ramped it up a little bit and joined in with all the agencies.
“It is free entry to come and have a look.
“We will have fire fighting demonstrations by the Rural Fire Service and Fire and Rescue NSW.
”The SES, Ambulance and police officers will be there too.
“We encourage everyone to come down and have a sticky beak and see how the other half lives or works.”
