The North West Regional Secondary Schools Oztag Championships were held in Tamworth recently with the winning schools being invited to play in the NSW Schools Championships in Sydney on Wednesday.

Quirindi High won the 7/8 boys defeating Carinya Red 4-3 with Sam Fletcher (Quirindi) named the grand final best and fairest.
In the 7/8 girls Jada Taylor starred as McCarthy were 5-nil victors over Oxley Red.
McCarthy also got up in the 9/10 girls over THS White 4-nil with Mykenzie Semple picking up the best and fairest accolade.
Ashton Constable helped Oxley edge out Peel 3-2 in the 9/10 boys.
Peel prevailed in both the 11/12 divisions with the boys defeating THS 5-4 and the girls THS 4-2. Tjana Williams was named the best and fairest from the girls final and Jarrod Peachey the boys.
