Donald Eugene Eykamp has pleaded not guilty to threatening aviation security while he was inside the terminal on July 23.
Eykamp, 73, appeared in Tamworth Local Court this week in a bid to have his bail conditions changed to allow him to fly out of the airport, but the application was withdrawn and later dismissed by Magistrate Roger Prowse.
Eykamp was arrested after passing through security at the airport when he allegedly became aggressive to security staff and made threats including threatening to blow up the airport.
The incident, which police allege was said in front of other passengers, delayed the flight by almost an hour.
Police allege the 73-year-old made further threats in connection to aircraft safety when officers arrived.
As part of his bail, Eykamp is prohibited from going within 50m of Tamworth Airport. He remains on bail to front court again in September.
