Shannon and her thoroughbred Clifford won the international CIC3* class for the fourth time.
Placing third after the dressage phase, Shannon and Clifford jumped clear in the show jumping and cross country phases to rise to the top of the scoreboard.
The combination are aiming for selection to represent Australia at the World Equestrian Games in 2018, and while the weekend's event was not an official selection trial, their strong performance will certainly help their chances.
With 10 horse and rider combinations completing the CIC3* competition, it was an extremely competitive class with some of Australia's top riders delighting the spectators.
In second place was Emma Bishop and CP Issey Miyake, while Andrew Barnett and Bradgate Park Fonzie finished in third place in their debut appearance at this level.
The winner of the CIC2* class was Deon Stokes and Crime Time, who led the class from start to finish.
"It was a great weekend with some outstanding performances from riders in all the classes,” Tamworth International President Carolyn Campbell said.
“With over 100 volunteers involved, the community spirit was inspiring. This was our best event to date, and we look forward to even bigger and better things in 2018."
