Taber said the Bears’ opening 20 minutes against Walcha last round, in which they raced to a 16-0 lead, was the best they had played this year.
The match was abandoned in the first half when Roos second-rower Ben Green suffered a horror ankle injury making what was described as a try-saving tackle on Taber.
“It was the worst thing I’ve seen on a football field,” Taber said.
Bundarra need to beat Uralla at home, and hope Boggabri topple Manilla, to make the top four.
“Manilla are struggling a bit, by sounds of it,” Taber said.
“Hopefully Boggabri turn up and beat them.”
The last time Uralla and Bundarra played, the Tigers won 32-22 at home.
In other matches on Saturday (home team listed first), minor premiers Kootingal-Moonbi play Dungowan, second-placed Barraba confront Bingara and Werris Creek play third-placed Bendemeer.
