The Kenway & Clark business and two staff members are up for a total of three New England North West regional business awards.
Marketing manager Brooke Maisey said the chance at a regional award was great – but even more satisfying was showcasing “what we can do in this part of the region”.
“In at least the last few years, no one’s been a finalist in Moree … we’re just very happy to be going and representing our town and our business,” Miss Maisey said.
It is really an achievement to our local communities as well. We are fortunate to be living and working in such a rich, viable region.

Kenway & Clark, which specialises in agricultural machinery sales, parts and servicing, is a finalist in the excellence in business category.
Chief financial officer Gemille Hayes is a business leader finalist.
Wee Waa branch operations manager Sam Collier is a young business executive finalist.
General manager Peter Burey said Kenway & Clark would not have been in such a favourable position without the region’s growth and support.
“It is really an achievement to our local communities as well,” he said.
“We are fortunate to be living and working in such a rich, viable region.”
Ms Hayes said she hoped the awards would highlight Kenway & Clark as a quality employer and active community participant.
“I was elated to be nominated for the awards as a business leader,” Ms Hayes said.
“If the recognition encourages more people to move to Moree or work at Kenway & Clark, it will be a great win for us with or without the plaque.”
Mr Collier, 28, who took over operations three years ago, said he was excited to see some of his competition at the awards.
“I would like to see what other regionally based young business executives are doing,” Mr Collier said.
“It makes you proud to see what rural employers are capable of.”
Kenway & Clark’s entries were submitted at regional level, as there were no local business awards this year.
The winners will be announced at the New England North West Business Awards gala night on September 1 at the Civic Centre, Gunnedah.
The winners from each state-aligned category will proceed as finalists to the NSW Business Chamber State Awards, to be announced at a dinner on November 17 in Sydney.
