The event will also double as a fundraiser to help the embattled club get back on their feet.
Fire raged through the clubhouse shed on July 15, destroying thousands of dollars worth of machinery, model planes and “priceless” vintage aircraft magazines.
“With insurance to assist with the rebuild, club president Larry Hoskins said there are still some things it just won’t cover.
He’s invited the community to come to the flying days this weekend and help raise funds for the rebuild.
“We were able to hold it with great difficulty… there’s been so many things obtained, coordinated and borrowed,” Mr Hoskins said.
“We have managed to get hold of a shipping container, so at least now we have a secure place to lock things up.
“We have had a barbecue donated and a few other small bits and pieces, so gradually it’s all starting to come together.
The name of the scale rally has been aptly titled “Phoenix Rally” with the club rising from the ashes to put on a great day of flying.
From 9am Saturday and Sunday, Mr Hoskins urged residents to come along and check out the model aircraft.
“They’ll be able to see a good variety of model aircraft, of course,” he said.
“The objective is to try and fly the aircraft in a similar scale like manner to what the real aircraft would fly.”
Mr Hoskins said there would also be a barbecue running all day along with a raffle with a drone up for grabs donated by Toyriffic and a model sailing ship kit.
“The flying field is looking as good as it could possibly look at this time of the year,” he said.
“We’re trying to get as many people from town to come out as possible.”
Mr Hoskins said entry was free for spectators and $15 for those wanting to fly their planes.
The club is located a 209 lot 19 Racecourse Rd, Somerton.
Police have confirmed the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
