Oxley Vale Attunga will be out to turn the tables on Tamworth FC when they clash at Scully Park on Saturday.
The fellow Tamworth side triumphed 1-nil last time the two sides met to hand the Mushies only their second loss of the season.
Coming off an important 1-nil win over Norths, which has put them in the box seat to claim the minor premiership, the Mushies know they can’t afford any slip ups.
They have though out of the Norths game potentially lost Chris Fenton for the rest of the season with a hamstring strain.
Consequently a lot of the talk leading in has been “about people needing to fill that gap”.
“He plays with a lot of heart - Chris,” Mushies coach Tim Coates said.
He is one of a few players they will be without. They do though welcome Brendon Fergie and James Bailey back.
Coates had the chance to watch FC play Demon Knights last Sunday and described them as a well-balanced and quality side.
“They are very good at the back. They’ve obviously got a very good goalkeeper in Troy (Osborne),” he said.
He said having a few different players on the pitch will make a big difference for them but added that they need to close down the FC players better than they did last time. While they did mark Troy Hearfield well, they were probably a bit loose on some of the other players, such as Ryan Davidson.
In the other games Norths host North Companions, DK are home to Joeys FC, and Easts and Souths clash.
